Ogden Valley Adaptive (OVA) Sports is an independent 501 c (3) nonprofit organization. We began in 2009 as Snowbasin Adaptive Sports and Education Foundation (SASEF) and since 2015 have been doing business as (dba) Ogden Valley Adaptive Sports. Our vision and mission are as follows:
Vision: We envision a community where people with and without disabilities enjoy sports and recreation together in our great outdoors.
Mission: We remove barriers for people with disabilities through life-changing outdoor sports and recreation opportunities.
Dedicated staff and volunteers are the core to OVA’s success. With a current staff of four full-time and over 20 seasonal professional employees, OVA provides over 750 winter adaptive ski and snowboard encounters and over 750 “warm weather” outdoor recreation encounters. OVA is on a growth curve to exceed 1000 each within two years. None of this could be done without the over 70 dedicated volunteers who work side-by-side with the OVA employees. OVA is a member ski school of the Professional Ski Instructors of America / American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA- AASA).

Headquartered in Ogden, Utah, OVA has access to some of the very best outdoor adaptive sports and recreation venues in North America. OVA started as an adaptive ski and snowboard school and that remains the core of its DNA. OVA’s prime partner is Snowbasin Resort, America’s #1 rated ski resort and future home of the 2034 Paralympic and Olympic Winter Games. All para-alpine and snowboard events will be held at Snowbasin. OVA also partners with Powder Mountain resort, Nordic Valley resort, and Ogden Nordic. In the other months OVA provides adaptive cycling, mountain biking, water sports, and indoor rock climbing at various locations in and around Weber County, Utah.
